134 years of WEBER Verpackungen!

On May 1, 1890, Friedrich Weber founded what is now WEBER Verpackungen in Fröndenberg. A lot has happened since then - we have selected a few memories from the company chronicle.

Founded in 1890, the attic of a goat shed in Fröndenberg served as the first company building and workplace for the first part-time employees, who still glued bags and pouches by hand. This was followed by mechanization and expansion of the production facilities for machine production. After relocating to the outskirts of Fröndenberg with 30 employees in 1979, the company moved to its current production site in Wickede with 42 employees at the turn of the millennium. In 2008, the production facility was expanded again for the now 120 employees. Before the newly built technical center was inaugurated in 2020 by around 200 employees. Production was expanded in the following years to include further high-performance flexographic printing systems and now includes state-of-the-art printing technology.

Here's to the next 134 years!
